Welcome to the New Year! For me, I’m taking a breath before I dive in…akin to sticking in my big toe in the pool to gauge the temperature before I commit. In the past I have chosen a “word for the year” as a touchstone to center my thoughts. That hasn’t happened yet…the Southern Man and I just returned from a 3 week trip to the Southern Hemisphere and I still feel like my body is readjusting to the time/climate/atmosphere. So choosing a positive thought seems to me like a good way to go.
As I mentioned in my November newsletter, I am offering hands-on, in person workshops again. The weather outside is miserable so let’s gather together inside and create!
The first workshop I am offering is “Altered Tins” on Saturday, January 25th. Using a metal tin and plenty of ephemera and found vintage photos, you will create a one of a kind collage composition. All details can be found here on my website under Workshops. There is limited space since I am trying out a new workshop location (after moving I had to give up my backyard workshop studio - drat!) … so don’t delay in registering if you are interested.
Otherwise I am taking it slow and easy…thinking about the projects I want to work on, getting back to work on my current series, “Bird Talk” and of course, daydreaming about where in the world I might travel next…
